Boxing Champion visits Hebron

Junior welterweight boxing champion Dimitry Salita and his wife Iiana visited hevron during Chanukah. They came together with Rabbi Zalman Liberow of Chabad House of Flatbush.  

Dimitri lit the giant Menorah on the third night of Chanukah in front of Maaras HaMachpela.

Menachem Livni, the new director of the Hevron community, came to meet the Salita’s, as did Dr. Aaron Abraham and his son, recent converts who moved from Bombay to Kiryat Arba after the terrorist attack on the Chabad House that killed his dear friends the Holtzbergs.

While Davening the Maara, Salita was recognized. Some children were thrilled to see him so he good naturedly went outside with them and showed them some boxing techniques. The kids loved it!!!
